How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
We recommend a professional cleaning of the teeth twice a year for most people. This is in addition to the brushing and flossing done at home 2-3 times a day. A cleaning removes the bacteria that causes plaque, but recolonization of the bacteria occurs in your mouth within a short time. Even if you practice great dental care at home, some plaque calcifies and is unable to be removed by just brushing and flossing. The calcified plaque or calculus requires the special tools and skills of your dental hygienist to be removed. If you have a professional teeth cleaning twice a year, you are less likely to experience a heavy plaque and tartar buildup that could seriously affect your oral health.
What dental insurance is accepted?
We will submit dental insurance claims on behalf of the patient to any Insurance company, but if you are required to choose a dentist from the Insurance company's list Dr. Taube will not be on the list.
Do you have appointments on Saturdays?
Yes. We have at least one Saturday a month available for appointments. We are careful to select a Saturday that does not conflict with downtown events such as marathons, parades etc. to ensure a smooth trip downtown.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we look forward to providing you with the dental care required to maintain healthy teeth. Click here to download a copy of our
Medical History Form. Please complete the form and bring it to your first appointment.
Do my dental records need to be transferred to your office?
The transfer of dental records is not necessary. Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam and we will take x-rays at that time. If you do wish to provide us with your previous dental records, those can be obtained by a written request by you to your previous dentist.
Can I pay by credit card?
We accept Visa and Master Card. You can also pay by check.
